Peter Shields, Managing Director, founded the company in 1996 to implement the Agility System to an extensive client base across the globe. Peter, who has an MBA from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, worked in the oil and gas sector for over 20 years as a Quality Engineer on subsea installations for companies which included Rockwater and Brown & Root; he travelled extensively throughout this period where he worked in various global locations including Borneo, Australia, the Middle East and Europe, before pursuing his passion for process. The Agility System has gone from strength to strength and continues to service a huge variety of clients within the Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Defence and Infrastructure globally.
Martin is Product Development Manager of the Agility System for BusinessPort and is responsible for all areas of the Product including Development, Testing, Release Management and Support. Martin has over 25 years’ experience working in IT across a number of companies including IT Service providers and Subsea Construction.
Susan is the Financial Controller for BusinessPort and has considerable experience of UK and international finance having worked in the accountancy and financial environment for over 30 years. With a clear objective to provide the highest standard of accounting and financial management information, Susan is responsible for all financial strategy, operational & contract management, commercial decision support, budgeting, planning, capital spend and corporate tax. Being a key member of the Management Team, Susan provides the Directors of the business with accurate financial reports & cash flow projections to support the company strategy while ensuring that the finance control system operates efficiently.
Hugh is the Business Process Director for BusinessPort, with 20 years of management experience as a senior business and project manager in construction and energy sectors with a further 20 years in IT and business systems management positions. Hugh is a business leader of substantial and varied experience with a proven track record for delivery of measurable business change with a particular interest in knowledge management, collaboration and behavioural science. His management skills combining the delivery focus of process-based management system development with the unique challenges of IT and business systems projects and has been accountable for multimillion dollar global projects. Hugh is a Chartered Civil Engineer and leader in local community and charity projects.
